Tuesday in Atlantic City
I wrote a song called “A.C.” when I was 21. I just got back from Los Angeles and was settling back in with familiar friends. Acoustic guitar songs from James, Hootie & the Blowfish, Sheryl Crow and Clapton were popular.
We were learning to play guitar and harmonica. This was around 1996 to 98. We would often take that late night drive down the AC Expressway.
I’m here in AC today for a quick work meeting and took a day walk to keep active. I couldn’t be happier with the way things have happened.
In life, there are Chapters and when you take a new job, get married, have a child you enter, “the next chapter”.
My transition between chapters has been supported by so many friends and family folk. Most importantly, my wife – she really does keep our boat headed straight.
Skyline, Parkway. Looks like a Black 13 Day. A congressman and cash. Parking lots of trash. Atlantic City.Atlantic City, Todd Bailey
Well, I will begin this chapter with as much strength and discipline as I have learned. Right or wrong in the past never meant that much to me. Just Look Forward.
Recently I have been trying to network up some new musicians to continue these projects. I have been writing as well, slowly.
Happy thanksgiving to you all out there. Enjoy the time with friends and family and if you feel alone, let someone know.
